Terms of Service
Last updated November 5, 2026
These terms cover your use of SlideQ, a service run by SlideQ ("we"). By creating an account or uploading a file, you agree to them. Questions go to support@slideq.net.
The service
SlideQ lets an organizer collect presentation files from speakers and show them in order. Organizers have accounts. Speakers join a walk-up event with its code or link and don't need an account. Booking a time at a planned event needs a free account.
Your account
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an organizer account. Keep your password safe. If you sign in with Apple or Google, you're responsible for keeping that account safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account and for the events you create, including the speakers you invite.
Your files
Your decks stay yours. You give us only the permission needed to store them, convert them and show them to your event. You must have the right to upload what you upload.
Don't use SlideQ to:
- share anything illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights
- upload malware, or try to break, overload or probe the service
- access another person's event or account without their permission
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Plans and payment
The Free plan costs nothing and has the limits shown on the pricing page. Plus and Pro are subscriptions, billed in advance monthly or yearly at the price shown when you subscribe. They renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, on the web from Manage billing or in your App Store subscriptions, and your plan continues until the end of the period you paid for. A paid event needs an active subscription to start; a show already running isn't interrupted. When a subscription ends, your events and decks are kept for 30 days so you can subscribe again. After that your account follows the Free limits, and events past the Free retention period are deleted. Stripe handles payments on the web, Apple handles them in the iOS app, and we never see your card number. We may change prices; we'll tell you before a change applies to your renewal.
Apple decides refunds for purchases made through it, and a refund ends the period it covers. Other payments aren't refundable except where the law requires it. If something we did stopped your event from working, write to us and we'll put it right.
Retention and deletion
Events and their files are deleted automatically after the retention period for your plan: 30 days on Free, 90 days on Plus, and up to a year on Pro, counted from when the event was created or its last scheduled time, whichever is later. If your plan ends, the Free period applies after 30 days, which can delete older events at once. Deleting an event removes its files. Keep your own copies, because we can't recover deleted files.
Availability
We work to keep SlideQ reliable, but it's provided "as is" and we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. For an event that can't go wrong, have a backup copy of your slides. File conversion can lose animations and some fonts.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the previous 12 months and US$50. Nothing here limits rights you have that can't legally be limited.
Ending your use
You can stop using SlideQ at any time. You can delete your account yourself from the Speaking page, or ask us to by writing to support@slideq.net. We may end access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms, and we'll post the new date here and tell you by email about any important change. These terms are governed by the laws of California.
