SlideQ is run by SlideQ. Your decks are private. We don't scan them, sell them or share them, and there are no analytics or third-party trackers on this site. Questions and requests go to support@slideq.net.
What we collect
- Organizers: email address, a hashed password, your events and your plan.
- Signing in with Apple or Google: your email address, your name if they share it, and an ID for your account with them. Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real one. We use these only to create your account, sign you in and email you about it. We don't get your Apple or Google password, and we don't keep anything else from those accounts, apart from a token Apple gives us so we can end that link when you delete your account.
- Speakers: the display name you type and the files and talk titles you upload.
- Payments: Stripe holds your card details. We keep only your Stripe customer reference and plan.
- Technical: IP addresses and request logs, used to stop abuse and fix problems.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to recognize a speaker within an event. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
How it's used
To run your event: storing files, converting them to a format the projector can show, and displaying them. We email you only about your account, such as confirmations and password resets. A speaker's name and talk title are visible to anyone with the event's code, on the queue and the projector. If you make an account to speak, we keep the events you've joined and the dates you add to your calendar, which only you can see. An organizer sees the name you give their event and your profile photo, if you add one, but not your email address or your other dates. Your profile has no public page. You can delete your account and all of this yourself from the Speaking page.
Who helps us run it
- Akamai: servers
- Cloudflare: network and file storage
- Resend: account email
- Stripe: payments on the web
- Apple: payments in the iOS app, and signing in with Apple
- Google: signing in with Google
Apple and Google run their own sign-in, and Apple runs its own payments, under their own privacy policies. They can see that you used them with SlideQ. The others handle data only to provide those services to us. We don't sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Events and their files are deleted 30 days after creation on Free, 90 days on Plus, and up to a year on Pro, counted from the event's last scheduled time if that's later. Deleting an event removes its files straight away, though encrypted database backups can hold its records for up to 30 more days. Account details stay until you ask us to delete your account.
Your rights
Write to support@slideq.net to see, correct or delete your data, or to ask a question about it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, including complaining to your data protection authority. We'll answer within 30 days.
Schools and children
Organizer accounts are for adults. SlideQ isn't aimed at children under 13. A school or organizer inviting younger speakers is responsible for getting any permission the law requires, and we'll delete a child's data on request.
Changes
We'll post any changes here with a new date, and email you about important ones.
